Authentic Gandalf Robe – Movie Collection

Authentic Hand Crafted, one of a kind Gandalf Robe. This special piece is created from the actual fabric that was designed and woven by Stansborough Mill for Peter Jackson’s original Trilogy then used for his special Robe in the Movie Trilogy.

It is created from a textured mix of 100% Natural Stansborough Grey woollen yarns. Pattern, design and hand stitching as close as possible to the original piece for this unique Tolkien Character.  All copyright Stansborough textiles are individually hand crafted into many collectable pieces. These  fabrics are traditionally woven on historic looms in NZ (from the 1890’s) then hand finished and individually hand created and hand stitched by our Artisan team.  The yarns used to weave this product, are spun from our rare grey sheep wool, unique in the world, and used to weave many fabrics for the LOTR, and Hobbit trilogies and many other blockbuster movies over the last 30 years.

Stansborough creates its own textiles for a range of clients worldwide and was delighted to have their exclusive designs used to create the special costumes for the Movie Trilogy so long ago.  Natural, sustainable, biodegradable and no chemicals are used in the processing or creation of these incredible products. A must have piece for every true Tolkien Fan and Follower.

Please Note: Gandalf’s Robe has large amounts of hand stitching,  which requires time, so please allow up to 4 -6 weeks for dispatch of this very special hand crafted costume. Please note for a ‘rougher more worn look’, this garment can be gently rewashed by hand and spun out,  to create a true ‘Middle Earth’ Look.
