Women’s Refuge Project / 100 years on history repeats
Stansborough is delighted to announce our support for NZ Women’s Refuge during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the spirit of bringing a little ‘magic’ to those in need during these times – we have designed a luxurious limited run series of blankets and throws which we have released for May 2020. In 1918, almost to the day, during the NZ Flu Epidemic these same historic Petone Looms created 100% wool blankets to be gifted to the sickest Wellington families. Locals helping locals during times of greatest need.
Every piece sold will mean a donation of $25 goes to a women/child for a night stay at Women’s Refuge in a time of greatest need. To date we have donated 312 nights accomodation to women in need of safety.
